For our recreational program, for children 6 years and older,
all games are played at the Herbert Hoover Elementary School
on Saturdays, Sundays and the occasional weeknight.

All practice and game times are determined as the season approaches.

Our under 4 (U4) year old program for 2 and 3 year olds

Hulmeville Soccer Club believes that the game of soccer helps keep our youth active in a fun way while teaching them social, motor and leadership skills. To help get our youngest members off to a great start HSC continues to run a co-ed Under 4 year old program in the Spring and Fall. Players must be 3 years old on or before January 1st of the current year. The program runs for 8 weeks on Saturdays (only).  Each session lasts about 1 hour and parental involvement is strongly encouraged. The U4 program is listed on our registration form and openings are limited.  Please include a birth certificate with the registration form.  Session times can be requested.  Our U4 coordinator will contact you as the start date of the program approaches.  We hold three sessions at Herbert Hoover Elementary School. There is one class at 9:00 am, one at 10:15 am and a final opportunity at 11:30 am. Our goal, weather permitting, is to hold eight sessions during the season.

Spring sessions start in April, Fall sessions begin shortly after Labor day.

Our under 6 (U6) year old program for 4 and 5 year olds

We are very pleased to have such a large co-ed U6 program. This program is centered around the time when children, parents and coaches begin to really gain a passion for soccer.  We structure it so that we begin with instructional sessions for both coaches and players. These sessions are created and run by soccer trainers.  Following the instructional sessions, we have several small sided games that are played without keepers in which the children get to practice their skills in a fun and safe environment.  Once again, for this age group, parents can request a session time.  Our U6 coordinator will contact you as the start date of the program approaches.  We hold three sessions at Herbert Hoover Elementary School. There is one class at 9:00 am, one at 10:30 am and a final opportunity at 12:00 pm.  Our goal, weather permitting, is to hold eight sessions.  For this age group, practices are held one or two nights a week at the coach's discretion.

Spring sessions typically start in March and Fall sessions will begin in early August.

Youth programs U8 to U19

·    With today's distractions, it is important to keep active.  Our older kids are split up by gender.  Practices are usually held twice per week. Since our coaches are volunteers, we allow them to pick the nights that work best for them.  We want to keep soccer fun and challenging so we require coaches to play your child for at least half of the game.  We also encourage our coaches to try to keep the score close.  They accomplish this by changing their line up during the game, requiring so many passes before the ball can be scored and any other creative solution that they can come up with.  We don't want to discourage our players at this age group by being constantly crushed.

Only in the spring do we allow requests for players to be placed on certain teams.  Fall is our competitive season.  Unless requested, returning players from last fall will be placed on their previous Fall team.  The teams will then be filled with the results of a draft that's held in late March.  Coaches will pick amongst the pool of players in a round-robin fashion.

We have no control over practice night selection and cannot entertain any requests to place on a team that practices on certain nights.

A photocopy of your child's birth certificate for first time registrants is required.

For additional information send an e-mail to info@hulmevillesoccer.org.

With your membership, the club will provide a shirt, a pair of shorts and a pair of socks. New U4 players will also receive a ball appropriate to their age group.

All players need to provide their own cleats, shin guards and an appropriately sized soccer ball.

Soccer balls have a number size based on age.
